Quality has its advantages

• Efficient, independent sprinkling of the food thanks to the drop structure in the lid; as well as the specific shape and weight of the lid ensure that the moisture does not escape from the pot.
• Thanks to the matt black enamel on the inside of the pot, nothing burns during stewing and cooking. Further advantages for even more fun while cooking: easy to clean, longer service life as well as higher scratch resistance and heat resistance.
• Unique products in attractive colors, made in traditional casting with innovative enamelling technology.

Before use

Before using a cocotte for the first time, we recommend that you clean it with warm water and a little washing-up liquid and then dry it off. It is also advisable to rub the cocotte with a little cooking oil. Incidentally, both are recommended before each use ... The Staub Cocotte is now ready for use! Correct use of the cocotte:

• Enamelled cast iron must be heated slowly to avoid thermal shock and the associated possible damage.
• The size of the hob should match the bottom of the pan; Open flames on the side wall of the pot can cause discoloration or damage.
• We recommend cooking utensils made of silicone or wood.
• Do not overheat an empty saucepan and keep an eye on the stove at all times.
• To avoid burns, always use a pot holder or cooking glove.
• Never place hot cookware on unprotected surfaces.

Care instructions

After cooling, clean the pot in warm water with a little washing-up liquid and dry with a clean cloth. Before storing, the pot should air dry a little. If food residues do not come off, do not use harsh cleaning agents, but soak them in hot water. Cookware from Staub is dishwasher-safe (except cookware with wooden handles), but we recommend cleaning by hand to protect the non-stick coating. Do not stack enamelled cookware and store it so that the outside is protected. It is possible for the knobs and handles to loosen over time. Every now and then check the tight fit and tighten if necessary.
