Description:
Damascus in a new dimension, made possible by the premium steel used for the first time. 101 layers encase the FC 63 core with a high carbon content - for outstanding hardness and edge retention. The Santoku knife from the Tanrei series is a real original, a knife made in Japan. Manufactured in the Japanese knife city of Seki, this Santoku knife is the result of traditional Far Eastern craftsmanship combined with German engineering.
Above all, the ultra-sharp Honbazuke trigger should be mentioned here. It was hand-cut by real masters in Seki and is the result of the highest precision work. With the brand new premium steel as the middle layer, 101 layers of steel were stamped and result in a blade in a class of its own: a hardness of 63 HRC, high initial sharpness and edge retention and at the same time high flexibility when cutting, pressing and chopping.
A composition that leads into a new dimension of Damascus steel in terms of hardness, edge retention and sharpness. Three virtues of a premium knife that are brought together in this work of Japanese blacksmithing.
